1. Who we are
Lending Link Ltd ("Lending Link", "we", "us", "our") operates the website lendinglink.co.uk. We are a limited company registered in England and Wales (company number [TBC]), with our registered office at [TBC].
Lending Link is an introducer, not a lender. We connect UK businesses seeking finance with third-party funding partners (lenders and brokers). We are not currently authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). See our Terms for what this means.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Lending Link Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration number [TBC]).
2. How to contact us
- Data protection enquiries: privacy@lendinglink.co.uk
- Complaints: complaints@lendinglink.co.uk
- Post: [registered office address]
3. What personal data we collect
When you submit a funding enquiry through our eligibility form, we collect:
- Contact details: your full name, business name, email address and telephone number.
- Business and funding details: the funding purpose, desired amount, time trading, approximate turnover, and industry sector.
- Consent records: whether you gave consent to be contacted and to share details with funding partners, and whether you opted into marketing.
- Source and technical data: the page you submitted from, your IP address, browser type, and basic analytics data.
We do not collect special category data (such as health, ethnicity, or political opinions). Please do not include such information in any free-text field.
4. How we use your data
- To match your enquiry to funding partners and for them to assess whether they can help — this is based on your consent and our legitimate interests in operating an introducer service.
- To contact you about your enquiry, including by phone and email — based on the consent you gave when submitting the form.
- To send marketing about related products — only where you separately opted into marketing. You can opt out at any time.
- To operate and improve our website, maintain security, and prevent fraud — based on our legitimate interests.
- For record-keeping to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
5. Who we share your data with
We share your enquiry details with selected funding partners (lenders and brokers) so they can assess whether they can help your business. We only share with partners that are appropriate for the type of finance you have indicated an interest in.
We also use service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Database hosting: Supabase, Inc., which hosts our enquiry database. Supabase may process data outside the UK/EEA under standard contractual clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. [Confirm data region]
- Website hosting: Vercel Inc., which hosts this website.
- Analytics: [analytics provider, if any].
We do not sell your personal data. We will only disclose it where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, and we complete a transfer risk assessment before any restricted transfer. Contact us for a copy of the safeguards used.
7. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry data: up to 12 months from your last interaction, unless a longer period is needed for legal or regulatory reasons.
- Where a funding relationship is formed: we retain the records relating to that enquiry for up to 6 years for legal/accounting purposes.
- Marketing consent: kept until you withdraw consent.
8. Cookies
We use only essential and basic analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure of your data;
- Restrict or object to our processing;
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out).
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@lendinglink.co.uk. We will respond within one month (we may extend this by two months where requests are complex).
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest version above. Material changes will be highlighted on our website.
